Listing is for a very nice vintage Tag Heuer 980.020 that has had its case fully serviced as described below.
Reliable, fully functional, and ready to wear. Classic styling in a reliable package. No winding so just grab and go!
Case size: ~37/38mm without crown (~40mm with crown and crown guards). The case does not appear to have been polished and is in excellent condition for its age. The pictures are under extremely bright shop lighting to highlight any wear and often look even better in person.
•New Swiss battery has been installed which should be good for two years or more.
•The movement is the original TAG Heuer signed (dated 1989) movement which appears clean and is running as intended. Service history is unknown but the caseback has multiple markings inside which typically is marked at times of service.
•The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable!
•The bezel insert is original and in excellent condition which is hard to find these days.
•This watch comes equipped with the original Tag Heuer jubilee bracelet and the gold plating is in very nice condition which is very hard to find these
days. The bracelet will fit up to a 7.6” wrist.
Contact us PRIOR to purchase for sizing down if desired. This watch could be equipped with our new aftermarket bracelet at a $50 discount. Contact for information if you’d like that exchanged.
•All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch features a new screw down crown. The watch was pressure tested to 200m after the case service.
